There are many people who have problems in life and they need to see beyond it in order to live happily. Deyvion is one of those individuals, and he had a very difficult time from the start.

Deyvion was only a little baby when a fire went through his house, leaving him an orphan and with burns over the majority of his body and face. Most people were surprised that he was even able to survive, but that was only the beginning of his ordeal.

Since Deyvion was now alone, he had to go through the process of healing during a very difficult stay at the hospital all on his own. Eventually, he would become a foster child but that wasn’t until he was five years old.

His foster mother, Beth Plunkett was a single mother of two and now she was the foster mother for Deyvion. She said: “I thought he was a beautiful little boy, and I fell in love with him very quickly.”

She then went on to say: “I feel everybody says, ‘Oh, he’s so lucky to have you and what you’re doing,’ but I’m, I’m just as equally lucky to have him.”

Deyvion spent 2545 days without his own family but then he was able to call Beth his forever mother.

“I want him to be, most importantly, just happy,” Beth said. “And I want him to always feel loved and to just … to have goals and like, reach them and just do amazing, amazing things. And I know, I know he will … God definitely has an awesome plan for him.”

His new mother and siblings love him as one of the family already. On the day that he was adopted, he also got a special visit from the fire department and received a jacket and hat made just for him.

We are so thankful that this little boy was able to get the help that he needed. May he always have someone advocating for him in life.
