Kyra Sedgwick Reveals The Heartbreaking Truth About Her Marriage To Kevin Bacon

When most of us look at a Hollywood romance, we don’t exactly expect it to last for a lifetime. In fact, we may even begin counting the days until the relationship crumbles and falls to nothing.

Sometimes, there are couples who not only stand the test of time, they set an example for others. Such is the case with Kyra Sedgwick and Kevin Bacon. The two of them met in 1988 on a film set and they have been together for over 35 years.

The love that Kyra and Kevin have for each other has come somewhat easily for the couple, but they still are facing trouble. That trouble is expected to come into the future and one of them is going to eventually have to endure it.

Kevin spoke about their relationship during a 2023 interview. He said that there is a secret to staying together for so long, and that is that you should never have a secret. He said that the secret was not to ask a celebrity how to stay married.

He also spoke about a challenge that the two of them face, and that is ‘getting the temperature in the car correct’ so both of them are happy. I guess we all have our burdens to bear.

Kyra also spoke in another interview about the challenges that they face in their marriage. She said that she doesn’t feel communication and openness are a problem but for her, it’s the understanding that eventually, all good things come to an end.

“The challenge is knowing that one of us will be alone one day,” she said. “The truth is, one of us will be alone and that’s heartbreaking.”

It’s sad to think but eventually, one of them is going to have to face the reality that they are living alone. Then again, they do have a number of years with each other.

“I don’t think it’s bad to have a death practice, honestly, to know that you’re going to die one day,” she said. “So, today is the day that you’re going to remember that and do something different. Just cherish. It just helps to cherish.”
