Ted Lasso star Hannah Waddingham had an amazing response to a photographer in London
Fan footage has captured Hannah Waddingham’s iconic response to a photographer who reportedly asked her to ‘show leg’ on the red carpet.
The Ted Lasso star hosted the London theatre awards on Sunday (14 April) night, a show that recognises some of the best from the industry.
Waddingham hosted the event and before the awards evening took place, she walked the steps of the Royal Albert Hall for the red carpet proceedings.

Those who have been on one will know it’s full of photographers taking snaps and reporters asking questions.
But as Waddingham stopped for photos on the red carpet, she was confronted a snapper who made an unfortunate comment.
The photographer apparently said something about her legs, according to the fan who filmed the video, and Waddingham shot back with an amazing response which you can watch below:
“Oh my God, you’d never say that to a man,” she said. “Don’t be a dick otherwise I’ll move off.
“Don’t say ‘show me leg.’ No.”
The actor then shook her head in disappointment after the exchange, before walking off.
The fan who posted the video to X, formerly known as Twitter, said: “Long story short: Hannah was being her gorgeous self and the [photographer] made some comment about her leg we couldn’t quite make out and… well, the video speaks for itself.
“This woman is a role model. Always, always call pricks out on their bullsh*t.”
As for the awards show itself, Succession star Sarah Snook and Nicole Scherzinger were among the big winners on Sunday evening.
Scherzinger landed Best Actress starring as Norma Desmond in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s revival of the Broadway-bound Sunset Boulevard.
As for Waddingham, she is hard at work on production of Mission Impossible 8 with Tom Cruise.

The film was initially set for a June 2024 release, but it has since been pushed back to a May 2025 release.
And in an interview that aired during the 2023 Christmas period, the actor made it clear she wouldn’t be accepting any slander concerning Tom Cruise.
“Having met him and having spent five days intensely… he is without doubt one of the loveliest and encouraging, positive and inspiring human beings I have ever met. Isn’t he gorgeous?” she said on ITV’s James Martin’s Saturday Morning programme.
“I have no time for anyone saying anything about him.”
And no time for photographers making sexist remarks on red carpets either, apparently.
