Finding the answer involves understanding the order of operations. With a problem such as this, you can’t simply solve it from left to right.

In these types of problems, you must do the multiplication and division first. You can then do the addition and subtraction.

In other words, you do the 7×7 and 7÷7 first. This leaves you with the problem, 49-1+7. The answer is 55.
