Many of us remember Heather Locklear because of her parts in television shows, such as TJ Hooker and Melrose Place. Those were quite a few years ago, however, but at the age of 62, she still has the ability to turn heads.
Recently, pictures appeared of Heather Locklear that were taken by the paparazzi. It showed some of the difficulties that she had faced in life that left marks, both mentally and physically on her face.
Her fans were shocked to see her looking as she did, considering that many of them remember her from her years that she was on television. Locklear was visiting friends in Los Angeles at the time and was not wearing makeup, so it accentuated the looks that they were trying to capture.
Over the years, Locklear has had difficulties with both alcohol and drug addiction. She has also had her fair share of legal troubles but her physical appearance is what seems to have struggled the most. She has been through roughly 20 stays at rehab facilities, and has tried hard to overcome her addictions.
She has also had difficulties with marriage, as she was married twice to rock stars, Tommy Lee and Richie Sambora. She has been happy with her recent love, Chris Heisser, as they rekindle their relationship from high school. They have been engaged for four years.
Unfortunately, the public has not been kind about her personal struggles. Police have been called to her place a number of times over the years and she made headlines in 2018 when she was arrested for domestic violence and assault against a police officer.
Locklear had to spend 30 days of involuntary commitment to a mental health facility after pleading guilty to the charges. She also had a 120 day suspended imprisonment.
As we look at the difficulties that she has faced, as well as the many triumphs she has had in life, we can always remember that there is more behind the headlines than what we read. She has gone through her difficulties and struggled with them head on, and we wish her all the best in the future.
