The last words spoken by Princess Diana:

When Princess Diana died in a terrible car accident on August 31, 1997, the whole world stopped.

Diana’s last words make that terrible night even worse. This is what we know.

What did Princess Diana say before she died?

The last words Princess Diana spoke before she died were told to The Sun by a firefighter who was at the scene of her death.

When Xavier Gourmelon gave her CPR right after her fatal Paris car accident, he thought he had saved her life.

The princess was awake and alert when he pulled her from the wreckage, but she passed out as she was being carefully placed on a stretcher.

He told the Sun, “When I got there, her eyes were open and she was awake.” He held her hand and made her feel better before they got out of the car.

“My God, what’s happened?” In what were said to be her last words, Diana asked him.

The firefighter also said, “I stroked her heart, and she started breathing again in a few seconds.”

“Of course it made me feel better because as a first responder, I wanted to save lives.

“To be honest, I thought she would make it.”

“When she was in the ambulance, I thought she was still alive, so I thought she would live.”

“But I learned after the fact that she had died in the hospital.” It caused a lot of stress.”

A fellow paramedic didn’t tell Gourmelon who the victim was until Diana was in an ambulance.

“I was so shocked,” he said. I knew who she was, but I don’t pay much attention to British royalty.

“I went to the ambulance and looked in and that’s when I recognised her.”

How long ago did Princess Diana die?

Princess Diana died from injuries she got in a car accident on August 31, 1997, just before midnight.

When she died, she was 36 years old.

During the Pont de l’Alma tunnel in Paris, her driver, Henri Paul, was drunk and going almost twice the speed limit.

The car that Diana, her boyfriend Dodi Fayed, and their bodyguard Trevor Rees-Jones were in lost control and crashed into the tunnel wall.

Paul and Fayed were killed right away.

The emergency services arrived to find Diana still alive, but she had already died from her injuries at 4:53am.

United Press International says that the first reports said she had a head injury, a broken arm, and a cut on her thigh.

She also had serious chest wounds.

The Princess left behind her two sons, Prince William (15 years old) and Prince Harry (12 years old).

Trevor was the only passenger who wore a seat belt and the only person who survived the crash, but he was seriously hurt.

Where did Princess Diana rest in peace?

There was a public funeral on September 6, 1997, and then the burial took place.

The grounds of Althorp Park, where Princess Diana lived with her family, are where she is buried.

It is said that she was buried in the middle of The Oval Lake.

A black-and-white marble statue of Diana with her name carved across the top can be found in the memorial temple.

It also has a quote from Princess Diana on it: “Try to help the weakest people in society. Nothing makes me happier than that.” It’s a goal and an important part of my life.

“Something like fate. Anyone who is in trouble can call me. I’ll run after them no matter where they are.”

It was first planned that the Princess would be buried at the nearby church in Great Brington.

Diana’s father and other members of the Spencer family are buried there in the Spencer Family Vault.

The family later changed their minds because they were worried about the safety of her grave.

Diana’s grave is not open to the public, but there is a memorial at the Althorp Estate where people can pay their respects.
